EARLY VOTING
PRIMARY ELECTION
MAY 19, 2026
Early voting starts Monday, April 27th, at the Auditor Recorder’s Office, Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main Street for the May 19, 2026 Election.
Early voting is available through Friday, May 15, 2026.
Ballots can also be mailed to registered voters. Please contact the Auditor Recorder’s Office at (208) 799-3020 for information.

PARTY AFFILIATION CHANGE DEADLINE
The last day voters can change their party affiliation is Friday, March 13, 2026 for the May 19, 2026 Primary Election.
Change forms are available at the Auditor Recorder’s Office in the Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main St, Lewiston, or go to voteidaho.gov to change your party affiliation online.
All change forms must be received in the County Clerk’s Office by 5:00 p.m.

MAY 19, 2026 PRIMARY ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: Pursuant to Section 34-1405, Idaho Code, for the candidate filing deadline for elections to be held on May 19, 2026. Declaration and Petition of Candidacy forms must be filed from March 2, 2026 until March 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. with the County Clerk, excepting the Port Commissioner District which must be filed with the Port District office.
The Declaration and Petition of Candidacy forms are available at the County Clerk’s office, 1230 Main St., Lewiston, Idaho for the following offices:

County Clerk
County Assessor
County Treasurer
County Coroner
Precinct Committee Persons
Port Commissioner District #3
Individuals running as write-in candidates must file a declaration of intent no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 20, 2026.
